Do you ask for what you want?

I just watched this video, it’s a brilliant PR move and so incredible to even watch and feel the joy for these people.

You can watch this video here:

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/12/09/viral-airline-stages-magnificent-christmas-miracle-for-hundreds-of-lucky-passengers/

As I sobbed my way through, smiling and laughing I had another thought also.  This situation is so much like life.  Some of us expect great and powerful lives, others expect very little. And often we get what we ask for.  I’m gonna get deep here.  It’s one thing to casually throw out ‘dreams and wishes” and expect them, it’s a whole other thing to know in every fiber of your being that you are called to be a part of something, live somewhere, have things. You are worthy, you  are deserving.   When you focus on what you don’t have the energetic vibration you are putting out into the world is that of lack, not enough. You will attract that.

In applying this to my own life here is what my takeaways are:

1. I know that I’m being called to move our family somewhere else.  I love being near our families and friends but it’s as if chapter is closing and it’s no longer in alignment with my or Bruce’s calling and purpose.  No matter how much we are trying to convice ourselves to stay put, suck it up and that it’s safe and comforatble we know different.

2. It is really easy for me to go into my default way of thinking and curse the cold, dread going outside this time of year and focus on knowing the details of this calling.  Where are we supposed to move? How will we financially make a living there? What about the benefits we have here? What about the kids and their friends that they’ll miss. On and on.

3. In trusting the bigger picture it’s vital for us to do a handful of things:

     a. Visualize the feelings I feel when I think of being in the perfect place (for our family). Imagine everything working out, the jobs fall into place.

     b. Don’t get stuck in my perception of reality right now and all the things that appear to be conflicting.  Example – I will miss my siblings and their kids, our parents and grandparents are aging, does this make us selfish?  How is Bruce going to make what he makes now? He’ll lose his senority, benefits, etc.

     c. We must live our lives here in Minnesota with as much happiness, fun, and gratefullness as possible. Appreciate it, savor it. Knowing this won’t make us stuck here but it will put us in a vibrational match with the feelings we want to have. (Wherever we live.)

     d. Make room for miracles.  We have been de-cluttering. Asking ourselves of every item we own, “would we still want that if it meant we had to move it?”  many times the answer is no.  So it goes.  Lightening up is both literally making room for miracles and decluttering our thought process and spirit so we can spend less time cleaning, moving and walking around things that no longer serve our vision or life.   This also includes financial preparations; saving money to move, paying down things, doing fixes on the house to rent it or sell it.  Anything that will hold up the process when that place we are meant to be calls our name and steps forward.

4. Honor the knowing, not the ego.   I no longer feel the need to constantly explain why I feel called to move.  The biggest thing I looked at internally however is “am I running away from anything?”  I think a couple years ago when I wanted to move the answer was yes.  So I’ve stayed, worked through the muck, done lots of deep soul work, the repairing and understanding of relationships. I can say with certainty that we are making changes that are in complete alignment with why we have been put here on this planet, at this time.  It’s connecting more with ourselves, honoring ourselves and trusting.  Knowing it will fall into place when the time is right.

So back to the video, it also made me wonder – there is a guy who asks for socks and underwear. necessary parts of life. But do you think he was a little pissed when he saw the next family ask for a big screen tv (and get it)?  Do you think he kicked himself for not thinking bigger?  Not in a selfish, greedy way but maybe he needed a new dishwasher or something really valid.   Just a thought worth pondering.

WEBStndgBowTrust5x7

So it all comes down to this.   The universe, God, source, energy is asking you every day what you want.  And from a deep, spiritual, loving place you can stand up and claim what you need and want. But many of us never do.  We stay little, we don’t want to make waves or seem “different” or crazy.  So we don’t dig deep enough to find that place in ourselves that is peaceful and authentic.  We are so caught up in our stories. All the reasons why things can’t be.  We need to let go of those.  This can take moments or years, some people never will let go of all their story or victim mentality.  There are so many great coaches, speakers, pastors, online courses that can help us do this.  Some of the things I’ve done and I continue to do so that have helped me learn to listen and release the past:  I’ve cried, prayed, talked, meditated, had dreams, re-birthed (breathing technique), released blocks on a cellular level and pulled cords, re-lived emotions letting myself cry them out and re-enact them releasing their hold on me. I’ve worked with coaches, learned breathing techniques, found connection with people who are wise, supportive and loving. I create vision boards, lists of goals. Done acupuncture visit my chiropractor bi-weekly, this makes sure my body if functioning and the nerves are unblocked and my energy is flowing. I pray some more.  Then I make sure to sit and listen. Not to an external voice but an inner knowing that arises.   I also use my art and journaling as a release.

It sounds like work but I savor every one of those items on that list. Like a gift to myself. They feel good. Like coming home.

Wishing you peace and love!!

Hang in there sweet girl

You feel alone, invisisble. You are wondering why these life tests keep coming. You my dear could’ve chosen a life destiny that allowed you to be simply happy and content. But instead my sweet girl, while in the safe, loving comfort of the other side you dared to go big. You chose a life filled with greatness. Your wisest self knew that you’d need to have some hard times so you could take those times and turn them into your destiny.  Into a life that is bigger and greater than you even dare to dream right now.  But to handle that greatness, you’d need to be tough, wise and resiliant.

So girl, keep your head up.  Listen to your wisest self, trust, rise, journal.  Keep on, then keep on some more.  Smile, learn, be. You girl are gonna be the the one they are talking about for years after your wise, gray self left this earth.

You, even though you don’t see it right now, you inspire us. We see you. I see you. The real you, the soulful, powerful, resiliant, beautiful you.     ~Noelle

New Couples Artwork and New Decor Print Style

**Tip - make sure you have your settings set to show pictures. It'll make my newsletters a whole lot more fun!

Hello! I trust you have been well. This past last week we visited the ice castles here in Minnesota. It was as close to a perfect time as I think I can remember. Kids both happily playing, photo ops, fun, beautiful. We had Bruce’s wonderful mom with us and it was 30 degrees. Perfect.

I’ve had people asking me if I would do more artwork for couples. I got the greatest compliment a few weeks ago when hearing of someone who had purchased one of my artwork pieces and then used it as her inspiration to redecorate their master bedroom. That makes me beam.

Here is “Embrace” and “Together” both originals are available (24″x30″ ea) and both are also available as 8×10 prints in 11×14 mats. If you are looking for a different size print let me know and we’ll make it happen.  (Click on pictures to be taken to store)

I know sometimes when decorating a room you are just needing a simple color print to carry through the palette you’ve chosen. In response to that need I’m introducing Single Color prints from the Soulful Yoga series. These are matted and add a suble, calming touch to any room.

My vision for each of these pieces of artwork is to bring a calm, peaceful moment of inward reflection when you look at them. As we hurry through our days it helps to have visual reminders to take a deep breath, connect our mind, bodies and souls. Be in the moment for a moment. I’ve added a page to my website that shows this collection and tells more about each pose and Chakra. You can see it here.

On another note, I thank each of you that have purchased a Harmony Bracelet to support my trip to Israel in 2014. If you want to have first dibs on the style of bracelet when my first batch arrives in April and help me help women across the world next year I ask that you take a look at the bracelets here. If you would like to learn a bit more about this project you can watch a couple short videos here.

Wishing you a great week! Can’t wait to see some of you this Saturday at the Wine Extravaganza!

Soulful You: growing through change

As you contemplate this life decision, trying to feel if you are doing it right or wrong, being selfish or brilliantly insightful and wise.  Be quiet, listen to your heart.  It has been trying to give you the answers.  The answer won’t come through talking it out or from others.  This time, they will come from you digging deep.  Deep into that part of your soul and essence and wise self.  You may feel alone, but you are surrounded by people who are rooting you on from the sidelines.  We believe in you, we know that if we jumped in we would be telling you that we don’t think you can handle it.  We know better.  You got this.  Be still, connect to the earth, your soul and spirit and feel your truth!

a grateful next step… clarity

I have had such a sense of frustration the last month or two.  I knew I was growing and in a time of transition so I tried to use that uneasy, feeling and keep it in the background and trust the answers would come.  I shed a few tears, had a few moments of total panic wondering if I’m crazy to think that I can make a living as an artist and in my own way, journaled, found new information to help guide me, prayed, learned, slept …. but then….

This morning I woke up with such clarity.  Finally!!   I’ve been feeling unsure if I want to continue teaching my art classes in the way that I have been, I love doing them but something wasn’t sitting right.  I finally know what it is.  The reason I do the classes is to help women, I love to see a spark occur in women that normally give all their energy to everyone else around them but finally take a few minutes for themselves.  I realized this does not belong in the business part of my life.  It belongs more in my heart area of giving back, helping my comminity and global sisterhood.  I have so many great ideas how I can move forward in teaching through retreats, and collaborating with others but for my own classes in my own studio I have some great things I’m working on that give me goosebumps.  I see a clearer plan for my artwork, prints, licensing, wholesale. A larger global presense and a stronger sense of my place in it all.   Sweet hallelujah.

More to come as this clear path ahead of me continues to unfold and come into focus.

Here is one of my newer paintings in my Souful Yoga Line.  For now it’s simply titled, “Being”.

Last but not least – The Crown Chakra!

The Crown Chakra – this chakra is located on the top of your head.

Sometimes that answers we are looking for in the world can be answered by simply tuning inward instead of looking outward.  The crown chakra is associated with self-knowledge, a connection with a higher being and a feeling of connectedness.   One of my favorite meditations is a quick 3 breath visualization.  This is my interpretation from one that was taught to me by Paulie from Dragonfly Journey http://www.dragonflyjourney.com/.  On the first breath visualize as you take a deep breath in; your breath going through your entire body and down through your feet. Then continue the breath down through the ground and visualize it into roots growing deep into the ground to keep you grounded.  On your next breath picture pulling universal knowledge and energy from the sky in through your head and down into your body as you exhale visualize all of the negative flowing out into the sky and into the stars. One the third breath picture these two energy swirly within you. You are connected to the ground, the sky, and all that is!

From about.com: The Crown Chakra is associated with the color violet or white. We use the seventh chakra as a tool to communicate with our spiritual nature. It is through this vortice that the life force is dispersed from the universe into the lower 6 chakras. It has been referred to as our “GOD SOURCE” – but this terminology might be confusing to anyone who equates God with religious dogma, because of this I choose to call it a spiritual connection or communicator. This chakra is often pictured as a lotus flower opening to allow spiritual awakening in an individual. The crown chakra could also be considered the well intuitive knowing is drawn from.

Chakra Seven – Associations

  • Sanskrit Name – sahasrara
