lets get this pARTy stARTed

Hello! (tip: make sure you have images set to display on my emails)

I don’t know about you but as I’m wrapping up this year I can’t help but reflect on what 2012 has been for me. I think it’s important to go through and at a minimum take a mental inventory on the year. Take a few minutes to think about the lessons learned, pat yourself on your back for some accomplishments, note some “never gonna do that agains”, and be grateful for the blessings. Then we look to 2013. I love goal setting, dreaming about what ifs, putting intentions out there to the universe. One thing I am working on right now is a list of 100 things I want to do in 2013. These are all things that are not part of my daily routine. Some are simple, some are daring. Some are sacred and many involve family adventures. 100 doesn’t seem like a lot but try it.. it’s not easy. I’ve only got about 40 or so listed so far.

One other vision I have is to connect with 200 new souls through my art classes this year. Who do I hope walks through the doors of my studio for a creative experience? Women in their 50’s and 60’s. These women have raised their kids, taken care of everyone around them for decades. They finally have a minute to take a deep breath and do something for themselves but sometimes don’t even know where to start. I hope to see women my age, so busy with their family, being a sports and activity taxi, organizing life around them. Yet they know if they don’t somehow find time to keep their own candle lit, they’ll burn out and not be as effective in helping others. I also can’t wait to see the teens and preteens. There is a such a light in these creative young beings. They have so much energy and ideas and just need creative, healthy outlets for it. And everyone in between. I often here, “But I can’t even draw a stick figure” or “but I’m left brained, I could never do an art class”. Au contraire lovely, yes you can. I have created each of these creative experiences to be a wonderful time for people with tons of creative talent and those that have never taken the time to see if they have any creativity in them. So don’t stress, you’ll have a great time. Plus I promise I will never let you leave with crap. Seriously, I will sit there all night if thats what it takes to make sure you leave with something you are proud of. Every person who has left my classes has left with a piece they are proud of. Plus, a little secret, you’ll feel flippin amazing. You’ll leave feeling like a rockstar. And everytime you look at it (even years from now) you’ll have a wave of that same proud feeling wash over you.

Take a look at the class list here. There are wine or coffee art classes, glasses, 3D floral meditative artwork and if you’r eyes glazed over when I was talking about the goals above then it’d probably really blow your mind to attend the vision board party this Saturday. Trust me it’s gonna be amazing. I know some of the people attending and they are the most fabulous people. The party is only $10 and seriously, I would pay it just to hang with a couple of the people that are gonna be there. Also one other fabulous detail, My special offer for 2013 is: For each person you refer that takes a class with you. You will recieve a $5 credit to use towards something in the studio when you take your class! Cards, Prints, Glasses, etc.

Lastly, you are not gonna want to miss the big reveal tomorrow. I have been working on my She painting for a couple months now and I can’t wait to share it. Picture this; I am sitting in the audience in Los Angeles a couple months back, we are chatting amongst ourselves as a woman takes the stage, she adjusts her instrument, mics, etc. I make a mental note that she looks great in red. Then she opens her mouth and sings, “let there be peace on Earth” acapella. With tears streaming down my face I had a vision of the painting I need to do to capture this unforgettable moment. You can see another clip of her singing this song here on you tube. She’s all class and a true example of a woman who is positively owning her power and going for it.

I wish you each a safe New Years eve and until tomorrow, **Noelle
