Monarch butterfly over soft blue matted print in 11×14 mat
Butterfly print art featuring butterfly looking like it’s landed on an abstract painting. Wall art to honor a loved one passed.
Monarch Butterfly over soft blue background artwork print.
It was a cold day in October when inspiration hit me, for days I created nothing but butterfly
paintings. When I heard the news that the lovely, Italian, Great Grandmother of my daughter had passed at first I didn’t connect the two events. Later I watched a video of her from years prior where she shared about someday when she passed she wanted to come back as a butterfly.
I then connected the inspiration to the days following her passing. I am filled with a feeling of
connection to this beautiful woman and hold the butterfly artwork dear to my heart.
I’ve painted each painting to look like an abstract painting that a butterfly has landed on. So there is a slight shadow to give the realistic appearance of the butterfly.
Matted print is 10″ x 8″ (25.4 x 20.3cm) mounted into an 14″ x 11″ white mat (outer mat is 36cm x 29cm). It comes with backer board and sealed in a clear protective envelope. This matted print will include a custom printed insert page featuring the above description along with information about the artist; reminding you or letting the recipient know a bit about the background and uniqueness of the piece.
***All prints are un-framed. Frame in photo is for inspiration only.**
This artwork is part of the Sacred Hellos artwork series.
Have you ever received a sacred hello? A sign from a loved one passed on? A moment were you felt completely in tune with your intuition? How about a time you’ve prayed and felt the peacefulness of angels.
Cardinal sightings, messengers, feathers, coins, signs, numbers, hearts, butterflies, the list goes on. When you’ve had one you know. The beautiful things about these moments; it doesn’t matter to you if others believe you or not. You KNOW that you know that you know. You feel them for a moment.
For a moment you know they are checking in, making sure you know they are okay, it’s all good. Feel them sending love.
For years I’ve longed to create visual artwork that connected me to these events. A painting that when you look at it you are reminded of those moments, of loved ones that have passed. Of a connection to something bigger, grander and wiser than our understanding. That you and I are loved. Confirmation that our souls, our knowing, our energy continues on.
